Mike is passionate about nature and spending as much time as he can outdoors. He enjoys hiking, kayaking, skiing, and documenting nature’s wonders through photography and art. He also enjoys going to his favorite ‘sit spot’ where he stops doing to ‘simply be’ with nature in the present moment.

He knows first-hand the restorative attributes that spending time in nature - among the trees - has on one’s well-being both personally and from what his clients have said.

Mike passion led him to establish Mountainside Trails Co. to reconnect others to the nourishing and restorative effects that forest bathing provides.

Mike earned professional certification as a forest therapy guide through The Forest Therapy School and is deeply passionate about offering others an opportunity to experience the deeply, positively impactful effects of forest bathing.

With Mike as your guide, you’ll enhance your well-being, and in two hours or less you’ll leave feeling renewed, relaxed, refocused, and replenished with a deepened connection to yourself and nature.

Mike is also certified in Wilderness First Aid & CPR from The Institute for Wild Med and has also participated in a series of Wilderness Survival Skills workshops from Owl Eyes Wilderness Survival.

And, Mike earned a master’s degree in education(M.Ed.) from the College of Educationand a master’s degree in business administration(MBA) from Isenberg School of Management, both from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
